What single change would improve your quality of life? I'd like to see more ticketing of crazy cabs. They're out of control. I'd also like it if people who stop their cars in crosswalks could be issued more summonses. They force pedestrians like me into oncoming traffic.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? I don't know what pot smells like, so I'm not aware of people smoking it. Having said that, I don't think they're bothering anybody. The city runs itself pretty well.

Who should be the next mayor? Peter Cooper. He was a philanthropist and he believed education should be free.

What single change would improve your quality of life? Clean up the city. When you go to places like Toronto, it's much cleaner. To give someone a summons for drinking a beer is absurd. I once went back to my apartment because I'd left my bag there, and two cops were standing in my kitchen. They were looking for someone. They would have taken me to jail if my neighbor hadn't yelled, "He lives here!" Under this mayor, the cops have to make arrests.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? No.

Who should be the next mayor? Jello Biafra from the Dead Kennedys.

What single change would improve your quality of life? A greater control over excessive noise. Why do people sit on their car horns at three in the morning? I want to yell, "We heard you! That's unnecessary!"

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? I'm allergic to smoke, so it bothers me physically. On another level, because pot's illegal people should smoke it in their own homes. The city should crack down on that. The surveillance cameras in Washington Square Park have done nothing to stop the dealers. They sell there even with a mobile police station sitting on the corner.

Who should be the next mayor? Abraham Lincoln. He had so much concern for other people.

What single change would improve your quality of life? Anything to reduce my fear of the cops. A friend and I were standing next to a brown bag with an empty bottle in it. All of a sudden, a police van raced up and the cops inside issued us a summons. It wasn't our bottle. The cops looked at my New Jersey license and asked me if I was rich. It was harassment, but there's no recourse because they have the power.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? No.

Who should be the next mayor? The artist Kaos. He'd let kids like me drink on the street.

What single change would improve your quality of life? Noise is my biggest complaint—people talking on their cell phones in the subway, or even testing their "rings" in public. I've heard people answer their phones in a movie theater.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? No.

Who should be the next mayor? Rosie O'Donnell.

What single change would improve your quality of life? More low-income housing. The mayor isn't down with that at all. Both municipalities and the federal government have programs for this kind of construction, but it's a matter of political will. It's a good idea for many reasons, not the least of which is that it eliminates the future of crime and homelessness.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? No, I'm bothered much more by tobacco.

Who should be the next mayor? Al Sharpton. We need somebody who will put his money where his mouth is.

What single change would improve your quality of life? I'm conflicted, because I believe there should be some control even as I think like a hippie and want people to police themselves. My list would have to include cabs who cross five lanes of traffic.

Are you bothered by people smoking pot in public? Hell, no.

Who should be the next mayor? Bill Clinton. I've liked him ever since I saw him play the saxophone.
