"Freedom of assembly is being denied on a regular basis by the city and the NYPD based on a general xenophobia for something they don't understand," contends Jason. "In any real democracy there should be a place for young people to come together on their own terms and just have fun. You can't deny people's need to dance. They will always do this—they can't stop it and it's asinine to try."
