What is stem cell research?I have no idea.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?Yes. I just saw A.I. and it had an impact on how I think. In the movie, the robots were created for the sole purpose of being superior to humans, and surviving them when the earth is destroyed.

Would you have a second child in order to save the first? No, I'm totally against that. The only people who go for that are people with money. I'm not coldhearted, but I feel that when you're a parent of a very young child, you're in love with taking care of a baby more than you are with the child itself. I'd feel worse if an 18-year-old died. They know of life.

What is stem cell research?I don't know exactly. I can only deduce a little from the name.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?I'm not sure. I guess if they're creating babies in a tube, it's OK. Even though I'm completely pro-choice, and agree with genetic research, I'd want to know what went into creating the embryos. Is an embryo a baby? I don't think so, but what exactly is the cutoff?

Would you have a second child in order to save the first? My gut reaction is that it's wrong. If, God forbid, I had a child who died at the age of eight, I'd think that, for whatever reason, he was built that way. On the other hand, I'm not a mother, so I don't know what I would actually do under those circumstances.

What is stem cell research?I don't know.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?

Are we talking about cloning? I don't think that's moral. There are too many risks and we're playing God. Does the clone have a soul? On the issue of petri dish research, embryos created to further our knowledge of disease and medicine don't trouble me.

Would you have a second child in order to save the first? I don't think so, but it's a personal choice. You would have placed so much focus on the first child that the second child might just get lost.

What is stem cell research?I don't know.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?Yes. I would draw a line between in vitro fertilization and the process that would genetically alter or create humans. If whatever you created in a petri dish wasn't developed into a full human being, I'd support it.

Would you have a second child in order to save the first?I don't know. Maybe the first child has a natural life span. Maybe there's a length of time we're supposed to live.

What is stem cell research? I don't know.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?I'm for scientists using cells that occur naturally to cure disease. With all this new science, the one thing I'd want to know is whether everyone would have access to the same new procedures. If you were poor and very sick, would you have the same chance of being offered these things as you would if you were sick and rich?

Would you have a second child in order to save the first?Yes. I wouldn't want my child to die.

What is stem cell research?I don't really know.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?Yes, it's totally immoral. It's a life, a human life, and an embryo is a child. It is an intriguing question, though, because I remember when in vitro fertilization was first made public and the Catholic church went crazy.

Would you have a second child in order to save the first? No. I was just reading about the fact that it's now possible to have a child with three genetic parents. Two fathers, one mother. For gay men, for instance.

What is stem cell research?I have no idea.

Is it immoral to create embryos solely for research?Yes, I think it is. But conducting research on what naturally comes out at the time of birth is useful.

Would you have a second child in order to save the first?Yes, if it would save the life of the other child. I don't think it's tampering with nature, and it's not like killing people just for their organs.
