Time to take it back to the old school: Two legendary house music figures are making the rounds this week. Robert Owens, best known for his vocal work on records by Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, Cevin Fisher, and most recently, Photek, on the scintillating single "Mine to Give," does double duty. Friday night he holds the headlining slot at GBH (which, it seems, has absolutely given up any notion that it's a night about Great British House), playing with JB and resident Anthony Mac. (Downstairs in the Pinky, '98 DMC champ DJ Wool cuts it up). Friday at 10, Centro-Fly, 45 W 21st, 627-7770. For those who want a more low-key night out than Centro-Fly provides, you can also catch Robert Owens at Open Air, Sunday at 9, 121 St. Marks Place, 979-1459.

Back in Brooklyn—in Fort Greene—New Jersey expat and house jock Tony Humphries plays the intimate venue 667 Bar & Gallery Lounge. A nice change of pace and scenery, and perhaps some of you old timers might be able to resurrect the old Zanzibar days. Humphries is joined by Chris Conrad, Dennis Gregory, and Todd Dimery. Saturday at 10, 667 Bar Gallery and Lounge, 667 Fulton, Fort Greene, Brooklyn, 718-855-8558.

Benefits for the World Trade Center are still popping up all over town. Add this one to your list: Rebuild, a daytime fashion and music extravaganza which boasts "50 DJs and 60 hours of music," in which a portion of the proceeds go to the New York State WTC Relief Fund. There will be four rooms (as is standard at raves these days), featuring hip-hop, house/techno, drum'n'bass and 2step. Notable jocks include DJ Honda, Evil Dee, Bobbito (in the hip-hop room), Juan C, Rich Bourque and Kimyon playing Foundation-style techno, Reid Speed spinning 2step, and Soulslinger, Ming & FS, Odi, and UV Ray knocking out some drum'n'bass. For full info, www.nybrands.com. Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. till 8 p.m., 60 Spring.
