Get out the eggnog and take your drunken ass around town to the many holiday celebrations this week. What better way to forget that your clan is dysfunctional and you'd rather spend more time with the family dog, than to head to the fifth annual Stuck on Earth holiday food drive JOY? As usual, the crew has packed three stages to the gills. Highlights include the underrated and rarely seen local boy-wonder Onionz—whose new CD Future Acoustics is an absolutely smashing example of truly "deep" house—and big rave favorites Donald Glaude and Charles Feelgood, who favor hard house and "funky" breaks. Another equally large lineup comes courtesy of the Digital Domain posse: Peace on Earth features the holy American rave trinity of Bad Boy Bill, Christopher Lawrence, and Sandra Collins. (I hear Ms. Collins likes Furby dolls. You might want to bring her one for Xmas). There's the requisite drum'n'bass room with locals Empress and Christian Bruna among others. Old folks who can't handle gargantuan venues and phat pants can celebrate at the best damn house party in New York (still!) Bang the Party, with the always fabulous resident jock E-man and special guest Tommy Musto (no relation to Voicegossip gabber Michael). Thanks to Frank's sophisticated and worldly split-level interior design, you have two options: you can hang with the house heads upstairs, or do the bump'n'grind downstairs to old hip hop jams, and funky soul joints.
