Was 2001 your worst year ever?Oh, yes, definitely. The collision of events has brought everything to a head, not just here but in India and Pakistan. Here, we've responded to the events of September 11 by becoming very patriotic.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden? No, because there are 100 more people behind him waiting to take up his work. There's no way he's in Tora Bora. He's probably living next to me on East 6th Street.

What are your resolutions for 2002?I'd like to reach out more, to educate more, to develop more of a social conscience. Theater doesn't do what it was supposed to do, which is to educate and promote socialism.

Was 2001 your worst year ever? It's up there. Personally there have been years that have affected me more, but this is the first national crisis that I've gone through since I left home. Now that I'm on my own, I feel less secure. I wasn't born here, but I consider myself a New Yorker.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden?Yes. I don't know if that's a rational reaction, but on an emotional level I'd feel better.

What are your resolutions for 2002? I usually don't make resolutions. It's good to have goals, but people set ones that are too lofty. At least I used to when I made them.

Was 2001 your worst year ever?Actually, it was a good year for me. I had an exhibition of my work at a museum in Queens. Unfortunately, the opening night was set for September 16, and people flew in from Japan to help set up the exhibit. They were here for the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden?I'd be interested in seeing him, but I don't think his capture would make much of a difference.

What are your resolutions for 2002?To get work, and to get my portfolio seen. I work with pleated fabric. I've been inspired by Issey Miyake, but work more three-dimensionally.

Was 2001 your worst year ever?Professionally, it wasn't the best year for me. I had a permanent job until the World Trade Center attacks. Business just stopped after September 11.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden?Yes. Quite literally, I think that his personal connections and his organizational skills are a direct threat to us.

What are your resolutions for 2002?I'd like to get in better shape and I'd like a new job.

Was 2001 your worst year ever?Yes, it was a horrible year. I lost a friend in the attacks. I still don't believe the whole thing happened. This year, the holidays haven't seemed very cheery to me.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden?I really wouldn't care, because it's a much bigger issue than just one man. It's a nation, many nations really, that hate us.

What are your resolutions for 2002?For me personally, my first resolution is to get a job.

Was 2001 your worst year ever?Versus the other 21 years of my life? Easily the worst.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden? My honest opinion is that they're making him the scapegoat.

What are your resolutions for 2002?No more raw doggin', sex without a condom. I want to stop while I'm kidless and healthy. I also want to overcome my post-September 11 fear. Living in fear is the worst thing you can do.

Was 2001 your worst year ever? It's been a huge year. I think that September 11 is the event that will define my generation. Up until now we were innocent. I got out of school, and everyone wanted to hire me. I took a trip to Paris to shop. I can't believe that. I haven't bought anything over $40 in months.

Would it cheer you up if they caught Osama bin Laden?Jay Leno is always putting bin Laden's picture on plates and shooting them. It's been a shock to see how much people around the world hate the U.S.

What are your resolutions for 2002?To get my work done. I also want to be a better grandchild, write to my grandparents more often.
