After a long hiatus, the Foundation posse returns with a double whammy. Kimyon, Rich Bourque, and J.C. Gaviria host two weekly parties, giving Detroit techno and deep house fans twice the fun. Friday, the trio present Trü Skül in the basement of the Mint, also the site of Breakbeat Science's new Thursday drum'n'bass weekly, Bass: Mint. Trü Skül 's first guest was Suburban Knight; this week features local tech-house boy wonder Francis Harris of Matter: Form, the production/record company responsible for last summer's beautiful boat parties (Friday @ 10, Mint, 225 E Houston, 475-3200). Don't wear yourself out, though, because the next night is a free (our favorite word) party at the redesigned GrooveJet, a small but swanky space. Word has it the place is already jam-packed. Saturday @ 10, GrooveJet, 286 Spring, 625-9121.

Ironically dressed new wave fashionistas will be on hand for Larry Tee's Mutants party, in part to get a free copy of Felix Da Housecat's new joint, Kittenz and Thee Glitz, featuring Miss Kittin and the Hacker (Friday @ 11, Luxx, 256 Grand, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 718-599-1000). While Tee markets this sound as electroclash, Regressive Technologies promoter-DJ Elliot Taub a/k/a Taub takes a simpler tack: He just calls it electro, and spares the bells and whistles for his trainspotting, nerdy crowd. Miss Kittin and the Hacker will be performing live at the Fun (Thursday @ 10, 130 Madison, 964-0303), but you can also catch a DJ set the previous night at the Tribeca Grand (Wed @ 11, 2 Avenue of the Americas, 519-6600)

Everyone loves beauty pageants, especially the kind hosted by the hardest-working middle-aged drag king in show business, Murray Hill. The second annual L.E.S. Pageant is sort of like the Miss America pageant, only more twisted. The usual categories—talent, interview, evening gown, and swimsuit—are all present, but the judges, including *BOB*, Mike Albo, Bitch and Animal, and the Voice's super-fabulous Michael Musto are looking for that individual who promotes diversity, individuality, and alcoholism. Musto has promised to wear his special lime green, floor-length spiked dragon coat for the festivities—trust me, it's a must-see! Tuesday @ 11, the Slipper Room, 167 Orchard, 255-4646.
