Traveling to Cancún in hopes of forgetting a humiliating neighborhood softball defeat, Queens lug Dino (Carmine Famiglietti) and his cousin Jubilene (Joseph Summa) may have expected a Girls Gone Wild utopia. Instead Mexico proves a land of corrupt army officers, kidnapping hoods, and gullible gay cooks. Devoid of Sopranos stereotypes, the film charms with its p.c. portrayal of Italian Americans, yet the depiction of Mexicans veers toward the offensive. The finale rebuilds cultural bridges, but it's impossible not to feel queasy when Famiglietti dons brown-face to play the Mexican father of a Cancún Electra.
