The city is so vast that many musical legends sleep among us. Sal Principato, of Liquid Liquid fame, comes out of hiding to bless the decks at Roy Dank and Brennan Green's monthly jam Pop Your Funk. Free rum from 10 to 11, plus the man who helped create the "Cavern" LP spins golden, delicious tunes. It might not get any better than this. Thursday @ 10, APT, 419 W 13th, 212.414.4245

Does anyone remember drum'n'bass? Think back real hard to what was probably the first d'n'b record you ever heard, Goldie's Timeless. That was a gorgeous—if not exactly timeless—record. The Metalheadz DJ-producer returns to town with an armful of some of the best dubplates around, and these days, Goldie's mixing skills are a ton better than when he first started touring, which means he's doubly dangerous. Thursday @ 10, Sullivan Room, 218 Sullivan, 212.252.2151
