A cult movie called That Chick—She Digged It, starring Anton Newcombe, has transformed Brian Jonestown Massacre into a media juggernaut. Newcombe has said he considers the movie about him to be an unjustified calumny. Many songs on Tepid Peppermint Wonderland are slow and droning fogs that Newcombe sings over with little apparent zest.
