During a live telecast on NBC on April 11th, the Miss USA Pageant crowned its new reigning pop princess title to Miss North Carolina, known to most as 21-year-old Chelsea Cooley. A fixture of pop culture, this annually held event attracts women who are "savvy, goal-oriented and aware," according to the Miss USA website.
