Bold-Faced Names, As If You Need 'Em

Don't let all the celebrities blind you from the fact that the Citizens Band, a tribute to Weimar Berlin and all things cabaret, is quite a gas—with or without bold-faced names. Adam Dugas, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Jorjee Douglas, and Karen Elson (yes, that Karen Elson, née Mrs. Jack White) are the masterminds behind this singing, dancing, acrobatic affair. They are joined by an all-star cast—which is necessarily all-famous, but nonetheless all-good, including honey-voxed chanteuse Angela McCluskey, Chelsea Bacon, Ian Buchanan, Turner Cody, Aaron Conte, Rachelle Garniez, Mike Jackson, Alessandro Magania, Bruce Martin, Mark McAdam, Amy Miles, Jonathan Nosan, Rain Phoenix, Ronin, Viva Ruiz, George Rush, Tracey Ryans, Desi Santiago, Mia Theodoratus, and Craig Wedren. Sets and invitation designed by Dan Estabrook. Wed @ 8, Hiro. After the show, catch Lemonhead Evan Dando "DJ" for the Cheeky Bastard weekly bash. Ten points if he spins his own remake of "Mrs. Robinson." Wed @ 10, Hiro, Maritime Hotel, 363 W 16th, 212-242-4300

Damian Lazarus, the man responsible for signing many buzzy acts to British label City Rockers (including Felix da Housecat's breakout, Kittenz and Thee Glitz), now has his own imprint, Crosstown Rebels, and has embarked on a DJ'ing career of his own. His sets are filled with micro house, minimal techno, and music filed under that confusing moniker electro punk. Whatever, it's fun to dance to. This installment of the semi-regular Robots is also a CD release party for his latest, Suck My Deck. Wed @ 10, Canal Room, 285 W Bway, 212-941-8100

Lindstrom & Prins Thomas are what you get when you take two electronic producers from Norway who grew up on a diet of country and western and spin variants of techno. Yes, the music they play sounds absolutely bizarre in parts—but also very beautiful, with little funk jams interspered in the meandering bits. It can be a tiny bit twee, and very twangy. With Carlos (No Ordinary Monkey, Whatever We Want). Sat @ 3, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, 22-25 Jackson Ave, Long Island City, Qns, 718-784-2084 See also Fixed: Sat @ 10, Tribeca Grand, 2 Sixth Ave.
