Club Crawl

Benefit season is upon us, which means you can dance and make a difference at the same time. A hurricane benefit of Stage 4 proportions features many of Cielo's regular DJs, who also happen to be world famous. Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, François K, Kevin Hedge, owner Nicolas Matar, Steve Travolta, Quentin Harris, Louie Gorbea, Anané and Mr. V, and Barbara Tucker complete the all-star deep-house lineup that would be worthy of a $100 entrance fee at any European club. Instead, you can contribute a minimum of $20 measly dollars, which goes to MusiCares Hurricane Relief Fund and North Shore Animal League's Gulf Coast Animal Rescue Fund. It starts early and goes all night. No excuses! Sun @ 6, Cielo, 18 Little W 12th, 212-645-5700

Earlier in the week, the cheeky lads and lasses of the Scissor Sisters team up for another benefit. Sisters' Ana Matronic and Del Marquis spin with their resident DJ Sammy Jo. An extra treat comes courtesy of original downtown diva Lady Miss Kier, who likes to mix up her house, soul, and r&b with new dance rock. She gets support from Dirty Jean and Aleix Martinez. There'll be an auction of items donated from Courtney Love, Kelly Osbourne, and Antony and the Johnsons, among others. Plus Nancy Sinatra donated a signed pair of (can you guess?) boots. Wed @ 9, Luke & Leroy, 21 Seventh Ave S, 212-645-0004

It's not a benefit, but it's definitely worth your time. The first installment of Demon Days, featuring Detroit techno stalwart Carl Craig (of Planet E), is upon us. Mr. Craig is a rare sight these days, and a DJ set is even rarer, so getting a visit is like striking gold. The fact that he'll be coming here semi-regularly means we all just got really rich. The trusty eclectic talents of Gamall will entertain your soul. Thu @ 10, APT, 419 W 13th, 212-414-4245
