Gap Band–covering, Gretchen Wilson–duetting porn star Kid Rock's appropriation of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band's "Live" Bullet cover design seemed pretty untoppable. But then came fellow suburban-Detroit native Huck Johns, who looks like Tim McGraw and who wrote a song for Kid once and who covers Seger's "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" between ripping off AC/DC and ELO and STP, with an album on Hideout/Capitol. Unless you're acquainted with Seger's "Persecution Smith" and "East Side Story" you might not get why that label designation is so funny. But trust me, it is. (PS: Two best songs below quoting "Highway to Hell": "Love Comes A-Tumblin' Down," Cheap Trick, 1980; "Oh Yeah," Huck Johns, 2006.)
