Rack Focus

Kingdom of Heaven
(Fox)

One of the more dubious trends in the more-is-better world of DVD has been the release of punishingly bulky director's cuts of movies that most people didn't much like in the first place. In this four-disc set, the 191-minute version of Ridley Scott's Crusades opus is only half the package. We also get the two-disc, six-part documentary The Path to Redemption (it's a long road), which features enticing chapter titles like "The Pilgrimage Begins" and "Sins and Absolution."

Tennessee Williams Film Collection
(Warner)

This seven-disc box collects six films based on the writings of Tennessee Williams. Highlighting the set is a two-disc version of A Streetcar Named Desire. Among the extras: commentary from co-star Karl Malden, a Marlon Brando screen test, and five new documentaries, plus the feature-length Elia Kazan: A Director's Journey. Also included: Baby Doll, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Night of the Iguana, Sweet Bird of Youth, and The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone.

Transamerica
(The Weinstein Company)

Felicity Huffman stars in the only film ever to lose to both Reese Witherspoon and Three 6 Mafia at the Oscars.
