Kinky Knitknacks

An old housewifes' craft evolves into a tool of seduction

Playing around with your knit winter hat, scarf, and gloves can be fun too; I recently did a photo shoot in which I spontaneously sported panties, a scarf, my glasses, and nothing else. Wrapping the scarf strategically around my breasts, or letting a nipple show, was fun and unexpected, and now when I put it on to brace myself for the cold, I remember that scene. Similarly, I can appreciate these books as coffee-table fantasy fodder, the patterns giving me ideas for just what I'd do with a ball gag and homemade whip.

As for those holiday gifts, Lohr recommends the Fembot in red and white for a Mrs. Santa baby doll, while the more ambitious can follow Stafford's lead and offer a knitting gift certificate. I'm not about to take up needles of my own, but after ogling the hot models in their skimpy knitwear, I do look twice when I see women whip out their needles and skeins on the subway: "Are they making a baby blanket or a nurse's cap?" I like the way these knitters turn something we've generally come to think of as warm, cozy, asexual, and homey into something undeniably erotic.

    More About

Maybe I should become my own kind of domiknitrix and hook up with a sexy knitter who'll make me knit garments on command. In the meantime, I've got these books (and my favorite new fuzzy pink sweater) to keep me warm.
