Noise from the Front

For the week of March 7-13, 2007

After the Harlem Shakes had been brought in from The Blinded Forest by a troop of woodland Sickos, decked with green leaves and all sorts of Horrors, the Burning Birthdays in the orchestra were lit, and in 120 Days the Calvary of Light bustled into their places. The wonderful Ladysmith Black Mambazo was the chef d'orchestre, and the most Unconditional of conductors. His bâton dived into "Sleepwalking" and brought out the most magical and magnificent Rise in the Springtime, and seemed rather to play every instrument than to lead it. He could add 80s Life even to the Bravery and a wonder to the Good, the Bad & the Queen. The Envoy was a delicate, thin, little man with thick lips and a lavender diamond, with long black hair and a curled moustache in the manner of Gomez. What were his amatory tastes, no one in the Clinic could tell. He generally passed for a Telepathe, and Nkosi Sikelel l'Africa had nicknamed him "Excellent Choice."
