Hey, freaks and geeks: The Sci Fi Screening Room at the Theater Under St. Marks is hosting KISS NIGHT!, a screening of the 1978 TV movie Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. Filmed at the peak of the band’s popularity, the absurd storyline turns Starchild, Space Ace, the Demon, and the Catman into superheroes who use their power-filled talismans to fight off their robot doppelgängers and save Magic Mountain from the hands of a bitter former employee. With its bad acting and Hanna-Barbera show tunes, the film was destined to become a cult classic. After the screening, the celebration continues at Lit Lounge with Kiss tributes, videos, makeovers, and a costume contest. (Be sure to take advantage of the open vodka bar between 11 and 12.)
