BONE DANCE

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony meet you at the crossroads

With Krayzie, Layzie, Bizzy, Wish, Flesh, and honorary member Phil Collins, a/k/a Chrome Bone, in their camp, stalwart Cleveland rappers Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were once just one member—Dopey? Paisley?—shy of the full Snow White. These days, though, the pioneering former superstars spend most of their time watching younger men make money with the style they helped invent: quick-tongued, harmonically suave rap&b that veers from God to guns and back in quadruple time. Though founding member Bizzy Bone’s estranged, Flesh-n-Bone’s in a California jail, and Chrome Bone’s sole cameo will come on the “Take Me Home”–sampling “Home,” expect the group’s remaining three veterans to make their usual energetic case at B.B. King’s for the spot they are owed in rap’s pantheon.
