It’s no easy feat to make a successful cross-cultural move in the film world—just ask Ang Lee. So when that Oscar-winning director takes time out to introduce your filmography, you might be doing all right for yourself. The Museum of the Moving Image presents An Evening with Wong Kar-Wai, a discussion with one of the most influential directors in Hong Kong, best known for his chic urban romances. In addition to clips from his celebrated earlier films, including In the Mood for Love and Chungking Express, the night will also feature selections from his latest work (and first English-speaking film), My Blueberry Nights, a story about a woman who takes the long road to find her true love, starring Norah Jones, Natalie Portman, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz, and Cat Power.
