IN THE BUFF

A monster of a show, with toys

Buff Monster is the Hawaiian-born, L.A.-based street artist known for his pastel critters with mousey ears—and heavy on the pink—that show up on posters plastered on random buildings. Despite (or perhaps because of) the illegal nature of many of his projects, his designs have been commandeered by Nike, Vans, and Hurley. The monster is now coming inside for a new show, Born of the Abyss, that will show off his love of hair-metal music, Japanese culture, and geometry. The new works on display—framed, unframed, and on wooden panels—also include hand-painted kaiju toys. Through Wednesday, Giant Robot Gallery, 437 East 9th Street, 212-674-4769, free ARACELI CRUZ

BINGO-A-GO-GO

Hill and Simpson have your number

How many creative ways can one call out "O-69"? Leave it up to Linda Simpson and Murray Hill, denizens of the downtown gaming world, to try and get a rise out of the jackpot-hungry players when that fateful coordinate comes up. Monday Night Bingo has brought their innuendos, wisecracks, and truly bizarre prize booty to the masses as they've hopped clubs over the years. In the wake of the dear Rapture Café's demise, Bingo lives on at the Bowery Poetry Club beginning tonight. Expect the usual silly wares for winners, such as a remote-control fart machine and VHS-format porn. At 7:30, Bowery Poetry Club, 208 Bowery, 212-614-0505, myspace.com/mondaynightbingo, free (bingo cards $2) SHARYN JACKSON
