Melting clocks? Elongated eyes? Dining on sea urchins? Could it be an insane dream? Or just the short films and home movies of Salvador Dalí, screening tonight at Rooftop Films’ program Surreal Sounds and Shorts? Inspired by MOMA’s “Dalí: Painting and Film” exhibition, the evening includes a performance by concert pianist Bruce Levingston as well as far-out flicks by contemporary filmmakers, including an animated piece about a bat who mutilates himself and a short about goldfish communicating. Good thing the after-party at Fontana’s has an open bar—you’ll need it!
