True, there’s nothing better than stumbling upon a stack of free vinyl outside someone’s house on garbage day. But when it comes to finding that mint condition Exile on Main St., the first-ever Brooklyn Record Riot should prove handy—and far more entertaining—than eBay. Presented by Iris Records of Jersey City, the show—which is expected to return three times a year—promises more than 30,000 records, including everything from rare (read: expensive) classics to bargain-bin specials. No record player? You’ll also find CDs, DVDs, posters, and T-shirts as well as kielbasa, pierogies, and beer served by the good Polish folks at Warsaw.
