GOT THE 311?

Informative movement for the masses

Rants about Mayor Bloomberg and the general inefficacy of city government typically take the form of angry protests outside City Hall. But choreographer Risa Jaroslow, known for asking questions in diverse communities and transforming the answers into movement, plans to take the complaints (or—who knows?—maybe praise) of people entering and exiting the Municipal Building and turning them into an eye-catching performance for eight dancers, with the amplified questions and answers providing the sound score. It’s tough to imagine what kind of dance will ensue, but with a title like 311, we expect it to be informational at least.
