Boy

(Nagisa Oshima, 1969). One of the most bitter satires ever made on the subject of the Japanese family, this corrosive movie, based on a true case, concerns a mother and father who instruct their ten-year-old son how to throw himself in front of moving cars in order to extort money from drivers. The young boy is played by talented Abe Tetuo with great subtlety.
