TOMORROW NEVER DIES

It’s Bond. Justin Bond.

Justin Bond is alive and well and living at Joe’s Pub. After the Kiki & Herb star celebrated the seasons in Lustre, his winter and summer tranny-cabaret (which he described as his “surreal living room”), Bond is giving us another chance to get into his house, and mind, at Justin Bond is LIVING!, a recurring revue. Think of it as a darker and gayer version of The View, with Bond welcoming quirky special guest performers, and his devastatingly quick mouth tackling different themes each week. Tonight’s is called “Lowered Standards,” with downtown musicians M Lamar, Nath-Ann, and Scott Matthew presenting original takes on gospel, show tunes and standards, “a sort of downtown meets uptown, or more midtown, actually,” says Bond. The show returns in two weeks with “Go Gay Go Green,” which, Bond explains, is an “eco-friendly, sustainable song cycle for people who like to make love without necessarily reproducing.”
