Over the past three years, Stoked Mentoringa nonprofit action-sports organization for at-risk kidshas grown into one of the biggest (if not the coolest) groups that host surfing, skating, and snowboarding trips throughout New York and California. Unfortunately, raising funds for these adventures is the tough part. But Stoked knows how to make a benefit fun: This time, theyre partnering with Good Wood, a Detroit-based art show, which is auctioning off 38 one-of-a-kind decks by artists like Leo Espinosa, Matt Doyle, and Fernanda Cohen. You'll also see skate films and photos by director and photographer Josh Stewart and artwork by Brooklyn-based skateboarder/artist Bobby Puleo. Last we heard, 28 decks had already been sold (raising $1,225 so far). Grab one for yourself online (alldaybuffet.org/goodwood) through August 6.
