Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club, Choke, and the infamous short story “Gag” (a gross-out piece that allegedly causes people to faint at his readings), comes to the Strand with his latest shocker, Snuff. Set at the filming of World Whore Three: The Whore to End All Whores, the story follows a porn star who aims to have rapid-fire sex with 600 men in one day. Administering smelling salts to the crowd is Palahniuk’s favorite author Amy Hempel, who will interview him and sign copies of her own work after the reading.
