DAILY ZINGERS

Jon Stewart should really thank her

While Lizz Winstead may not be a household name, you’ve certainly heard of that little satirical TV program she created back in 1996 with Madeline Smithberg for Comedy Central called The Daily Show. Quitting in 1998 due to behind-the-scenes squabbling with then-host Craig Kilborn, Winstead has since taken her feistiness to the Huffington Post as a contributor, as well as the Oxygen network and Air America Radio. Most recently, she launched another “fake news” morning program called Wake Up World and took it on the road to Minnesota to cover the Republican National Convention. We know she’ll have tons to report back tonight, especially on that Sarah Palin.
