THEY ARE THE COSMOS

Earl Greyhound rocks face, sees far

When first I heard Earl Greyhound—beginning with Matt Whyte’s thundering exhortations and guitar ripping through carefully positioned speakers—it was the sound of apocalypse. With kinfolk Kamara Thomas and Ricc Sheridan, Whyte will deliver electric and acoustic sets during these two nights of special performances that will certainly rock your asses and the city, too. Yet the trio’s powerful songs will also rock your senses—for they are the sound of fables and flesh, of deep aquatic mystery, love’s enigmas, and the piercing, all-seeing eyes of a doomed prophetess. Y’all: expect revelations to abound. Me, I’ll be expecting to fly.
