Big Apple animal lovers: Come represent at the third annual Rock & Rescue benefit concert put on by Rational Animal and the ASPCA to raise awareness of the "no-kill shelters" movement. Chaired by downtown luminary Debbie Harry and co-hosted by vocal adherents Ad-Rock and Gina Gershon, this benefit's wholly worthy of a generous parting-of-the-ways with your ducats. In return, your kindness and consciousness will be matched by the passionate performances of Bloody Social, Lissy Trullie, Goonsquad, Adam Green, and two of my most favorite New York acts: Jesse Malin and Earl Greyhound. With spins from Moby and Le Tigre's J.D. Samson.
