Intellectual and cultural elitists, you can exhale: The ninth annual New Yorker Festival is back, bringing with it the writers, artists, performers, and thinkers you associate with the magazine. Scribblers don't want to miss out on tonight's "Fiction Night," a discussion with writers whose short stories have appeared in David Remnick's rag. A session titled "The American Dream" features a roundtable with T. Coraghessan Boyle, Jeffrey Eugenides, and Jhumpa Lahiri, while the "In Conversation With" segment invites Alice Munro to discuss her 1968 collection of stories.
