Mmmm . . . funnel cake . . . chorizo . . . mango sorbet . . . coconut curry shrimp--OK, we're focusing too much on the food now, but that's not the only thing that's being served at the 33rd Annual Atlantic Antic Street Festival. From Fourth Avenue in Boerum Hill to Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights, the streets will be lined with vendors upon more vendors dishing out food––and that's not including the businesses (Kit Kaplan, Artez'n Gifts and Gallery, Gumbo, and Waterfront Ale House) opening their doors for special readings, dance performances, and sweet deals. As you make your way down the block, whichever way you decide to begin your Atlantic journey, you'll definitely stumble upon a stage, so here's a couple of highlights from the day's musical performances: DJ Momotaro and Les Sans Culottes at the Last Exit; the Dysfunctional Family Jazz Band at the Brazen Head; and Gabby Glaser (of Luscious Jackson) and the Nouvellas (ex-Dansettes) at Magnetic Field. Also don't miss out on the 15th Annual Transit Museum Bus Festival at Boerum Place between State Street and Atlantic Avenue. The festival offers a look at a vintage collection of 19 buses and guest vehicles, which you're free to board!
