Last year, hundreds of audience members saw something--Mike Daisey's monologue about the troubled state of national drama in How Theater Failed America. And then they said something--mostly in the form of laudatory reviews. The Public Theater in particular must have liked what it saw, since they've asked the strapping solo performer back to debut his latest piece, If You See Something, Say Something. This speech traces the fateful origins of the Department of Homeland Security and details a trip that Daisey and his collaborator (and, incidentally, wife) Jean-Michele Gregory took to Socorro, New Mexico, the site of the Trinity nuclear test. We suspect this new show will be a blast.
Tuesdays-Fridays, 7 p.m.; Sundays, 3 & 7 p.m. Starts: Oct. 15. Continues through Nov. 30, 2008
