Most of us would rather be out relaxing than spending A Night at the Office, but Symphony Space promises to make the overtime worth your while. Your co-workers for the evening? Stephen Colbert, David Rakoff (This American Life contributer), and Aasif Mandvi (Daily Show correspondent), who will perform short stories about the drudgery of the 9-to-5 life. Part of the series Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story, the program features an excerpt titled "The Chairs" from Joshua Ferris's Then We Came to the End, Lydia Davis's "Alvin the Typesetter," and T.C.
