WORK IT, GIRLS

Objectifying BK heartthrobs was never so fun

We like these women for their minds, we swear. They probably have great personalities, too. It's not merely the fact that the '40s- and '50s-style working women featured in the latest I [Heart] Brooklyn Girls calendar are smoking hot that we feel compelled to hang their pictures on our walls. Look--these Brooklyn-based queer pin-up girls can clearly do so much else--like type and build things. So what if they look cute while they do it? That doesn't make our adoration any cheaper. Celebrate the release of the new calendar tonight with the 12 ladies of '09, plus DJs Tikka Masala, Noa D, and Amber Valentine, and performances by the Lesbian Overtones, Boyskout, and Bridget Everett, who are all pretty darn cute, too.
Fri., Oct. 10, 9 p.m., 2008
