ENTER SANDMAN

Neil Gaiman gives you a nerd-gasm

Described by Norman Mailer as "a comic strip for intellectuals," and one of the few graphic novels to ever make it onto The New York Times bestseller list, Neil Gaiman's seminal Sandman series (which chronicles Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, as he rebuilds his kingdom after 70 years of imprisonment) continues to captivate readers 12 years after the strip ended. In honor of Sandman's 20th anniversary, Gaiman sits down with iconic graphic designer Chip Kidd (author of the new book Bat-Manga!: The Secret History of Batman in Japan) to discuss everything you ever wanted to know about the Sandman mythology and the dark fantasy that comprises legendary comic-book protagonists. As Gaiman is known for generously signing autographs, don't forget to bring along a book or two.
