LION’S DEN

Take the subway to see Cornell at Columbia

New York’s Ivy League football team is up against it this week—but then Columbia is up against it almost every week. In their last home game of the season, the Lions are playing a team they could beat in the Cornell Big Red (overall record 3-4). The Lions are just 1-6, but Norries Wilson (the Ivy League’s first African-American head football coach) has at least made Columbia competitive: Five of their losses have come by a total of just 30 points. As we go to press, there are still good seats in the $10–$20 range, and where else can you take the subway to see a college football game? (Take the 1 train to 215th Street or the A train to 207th Street.)
