Though we don’t know Kevin Allisonpersonally, we’re fairly certain no one would call him a fuck-up. The comedian and actor, known for appearing on MTV’s legendary comedy show The State, has been hard at work, most recently appearing on television and film (Flight of the Conchords, Reno 911! Miami, and The Ten) and teaching classes at the Peoples Improv Theater. Nevertheless, F*** Up is the title of his new one-man show about those of us who can’t stop ourselves from dreaming big—and then failing even bigger. Expect to hear from myriad losers, including a Shakespearean thespian, a singing suicide victim, and a monster. And in other news on former members of The State: STELLA, the sketch-comedy troupe of Michael Ian Black, David Wain, and Michael Showalter, will perform at the Nokia Theatre (1515 Broadway) on December 9 and 10; call 212-307-4100 or go to ticketmaster.com.
Fri., Nov. 28, 8 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 29, 8 p.m., 2008
