Before you pig out, feed the brain
Thanksgiving mornings usually consist of the same old things: vegging in front of the TV and preparing the dish you hope will get you praise. But not so for the Five Borough Bicycle Club. Every year, the club invites cyclists to come out for a relaxed morning bike ride as a pre-emptive strike against all those calories you’ll be consuming later on. The theme of this year’s 25-mile ride is Presidents Shadows, which allows you to look at historical sites where former presidents once walked—perfect for anyone who still can’t stop talking about the election. You’ll make pitstops throughout the five boroughs, including at the spot where John Adams slept when he was Washington’s VP, and discover other presidential trivia you can use to score points at the Thanksgiving table.
