Women's hoops for a good cause
If you're a fan of Don Imus's favorite women's-basketball team, here's your chance to catch the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (ranked No. 15 as we go to press) at bargain prices. Today, the Rutgers women play the women of the United States Military Academy at the Garden in the Maggie Dixon Classic, named for the coach of the women's Army team who died in 2006 at age 28 of congenital heart failure. Tickets are $15 to $25—a great deal, as they also lets you sit in on the second game of a doubleheader, Penn State vs. perennial national power UConn. (A portion of the proceeds goes to C.A.R.E., which raises funds for research and to increase awareness of sudden cardiac deaths.)
