The lovely people over at the Ad Hoc Art gallery are throwing a Brooklyn Block Party—and when they say "block," they mean it. This group exhibition, which is having its opening party tonight, examines the art of wood- and lino-block printing by renowned street artists and printmakers including Swoon, Judith Supine, David Ellis, Mike Houston, Martin Mazorra, Dennis McNett, Elbowtoe, Gaia, c.damage, Imminent Disaster, and Richard Mock. You can also try carving your own blocks during a demonstration and printing them with the press in the gallery—just watch your fingers!
