HÜTZ-PAH

Gogol Bordello do three dizzying nights at Webster Hall

Gypsy spazzoids Gogol Bordello have toured constantly since last year’s Super Taranta!, and yet, somehow, frontman Eugene Hütz, who also dabbles in acting, managed to make an appearance in Madonna’s recent directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, as a cross-dressed dominatrix who whips and rides clients and doles out kabbalistic maxims. We all make mistakes, however, and the mustachioed Ukrainian musician will undoubtedly redeem himself when he takes the stage tonight, Monday, and Tuesday, to reprise his best role to date: the wild-eyed conductor of a frantic gypsy-punk collective, whose live shows are theatrical, international dance parties packed with staggering wallops of reggae, dub, and traditional klezmer music fused into a messy, foot-stomping to-do. And they immediately sell out.
