Who’s to say what’s good art? Or even who’s an artist and who’s not? Organizers of the Outsider Art Fair don’t require an MFA from artists of this exhibition—and it’s been that way for the past 17 years. These artists might not be part of some elite art society with dealers at their beck and call, but we’re pretty sure they’re just as likely to impress and inspire all those who attend. The art fair features 34 galleries, including Galerie St. Etienne and Jennifer Pinto Safian (both from New York), the Ames Gallery (Berkeley, California), and the Henry Boxer Gallery (Richmond, England), among others.
