"When you see a guy reach for stars in the sky/You can bet that he's doing it for some doll," proclaim the famed lyrics in Guys and Dolls. In Des McAnuff's production of the Frank Loesser tuner, Lauren Graham and Kate Jennings Grant are the dames inspiring Oliver Platt and Craig Bierko to such unusual feats of astronomy: The comely Bierko and the corpulent Platt play the heart-of-gold gangsters courting Graham's songstress and Grant's Salvation Army frail. The Damon Runyon dialogue and jazzy songs still delight, so if "Luck Be a Lady" (a dubious proposition in this economic climate), we'll love this revival "A Bushel and a Peck."
