W-O-R-D!

Can I have that in a sentence, please?

The Scripps National Spelling Bee may be a little too—oh, what's the word?—"serious" for your taste, but friendly competition among your neighbors is spelled F-U-N. The infamous Williamsburg Spelling Bee, now in its ninth season, is just a bunch of folks getting nerdy and having a laugh at the expense of the contestants. Tonight, the founders, Jennifer Dziura and Bobby Blue, bring the competition to Manhattan with the New York City Spelling Bee, featuring the new "Challenge Round," in which contestants can challenge each other with spelling words. Come prepared: The winning word last season was "tergiversation." Yikes.
