STAYING FOCUSED

Cynthia Nixon has your ADD prescription

We have frequently become distracted from the play at hand when we've noticed the marvelous Cynthia Nixon—that hair, that neck, that résumé—in the audience. Hopefully, our attention should hold when Nixon takes the stage in Distracted, Lisa Loomer's new play directed by Mark Brokaw. Nixon, whose second career as a campaigner for New York City public schools, stars as a mother of a school-age kid. Commencing a domestic odyssey, she interviews doctors, colleagues, and educators in an effort to determine whether or not her son suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder. (If he doesn't, we'd be very willing to take that Adderall prescription off her hands.)
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 7. Continues through May 17, 2009
