More About
Just in time to close Fashion Week, three of the most stylish performers in contemporary jazz join forces for The Best of Blue Note Records: Hard Bop and Beyond. First up is Dianne Reeves, a vocal mainstay for three decadesin session work in the late 70s, a collaborator with Sérgio Mendes and Harry Belafonte in the 80s, and now a Grammy-winning solo artist revered for her scat skills. Shell share the stage with the saintly Wynton Marsalistrumpeter, composer, big-band leader, education advocateand tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, Down Beat award winner and founder of the Saxophone Summit. Their three nights together should be inventive and poiseda fitting tribute to Blue Notes 70th anniversary of classical jazz.
