More About
Joseph Keckler cannot be described only as a musical writer, or an opera singer, or a monologuist, because he is indeed all of these things. In Human Jukebox, which mixes all sides of him, Keckler introduces us to the weird and influential characters in his life, describing where they place along his personal journey as an artist whos found himself hung over and conceptually lost on the early-morning streets of Brooklyn. What begins with his mothers diagnosis with an aneurysm ends with a dark tale and rousing song about a creature from the woods who has lost a piece of himself and wants it backsomething that happens to everyone whos spent a few nights like that one.
Fridays, Saturdays, 10 p.m.; Sundays, 5:30 p.m. Starts: Feb. 20. Continues through March 8, 2009
