ACT COOL

The best place to chill is at this fest

Yes, we're ready for the warm weather to come—but we'll put up with the cold a little longer as long as it comes in the form of the Frigid Festival, nearly two weeks of independent theater with more than 150 performances, as well as events, panels, and parties. Founded by Horse Trade and Exit Theatre in 2007, the festival takes place at the Kraine, the Red Room, and Under St. Mark's. Works on this year's schedule include The Expatriates, about F. Scott Fitzgerald and his literary pals, Jihad for Vent and Dummy, described as "a deadly puppet skirmish," and The Hefner Monologues, the true story of being Hugh Hefner's estranged cousin as told by John Hefner.
